TV SHOW'S BACKDROP

The Rescue of St. Peter

"Anesperon Fos" (Unwaning Light) has as its backdrop the scene of the rescue of the Apostle Peter by Jesus when he began to drown after walking on water.

The icon is painted on canvas, and it was skilfully painted ad hoc by the icon-painter of the Greek Community in London, Eleftherios Foulidis.

He painted this icon in a very short space of time following the request of Fr Savvas David Vasileiadis. Mr Foulidis painted and donated it to Fr Savvas David Vasileiadis free of charge for the purpose of the broadcast.
